Note to self:

New records that I will most likely buy:

Elliott Smith - From A Basement On The Hill
Tom Waits - Real Gone
R.E.M. - Around The Sun
Brian Wilson - Smile (Thanks for your report Brian, if you read this)
Leonard Cohen - Dear Heather
Elvis Costello and the Imposters - Delivery Man
The Black Keys
Green Day - American Idiot
Kasey Chambers
The Strokes - Live In London
Johnny Cash - American Recordings V
Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud - This Magnificent Distance
Beck - ??? Supposedly out Oct. 26

Other Records I Still Need To Get

Johnny Cash - My Mother's Hymnal, American Recordings I-V

I got the new Polyphonic Spree cd "Together We're Heavy" and it's really damn good. Well, let me amend that, its good. It's really good for listening to it when you're doing other stuff... It's not really a driving record... Maybe a good cd to have on when you're cleaning, or at a barbecue, or party. It's better than what I heard of the old stuff. But it's really good. And I never realized it was the guy from Tripping Daisy. Tim DeLaughter. That's a funny last name, especially since his band is so happy. But the best thing is that there is a DVD that came with it, and they all seem much less weird after watching an interview with DeLaughter. Plus, they have some bonus live video, and my friend from Rock Valley, Matt Bethel, is in it. He's in the crowd, and it cuts to a full shot of him with a big grin. That was crazy. What other cd's should I get that aren't on my list? Supposedly Oasis, Tom Petty, Ash, The Strokes, and Foo Fighters have new cd's coming out early 2005. And Chinese Democracy.

Revolution

At the risk of sounding ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by feelings of love.

If any of you don't listen to NPR, you should go onto www.npr.org and find All Things Considered, and then find All Songs Considered... there's new shows every week or two I think, and this new one has new Brian Wilson, Elliott Smith, and Tom Waits stuff. They're always so good. You can listen to archival ones too. All of those records should be good. The new R.E.M. record is good too. I think you can stream the whole thing on MySpace.com. I wanna write a lot more about good records coming out, but Elliott Smith's "Let's Get Lost" is playing on All Songs Considered, and I don't feel like listening between keystrokes.

Sitting around, no work today, Try pacing to keep awake

No call still. Why won't someone give me a good paying job. I'm not gonna go bag fucking groceries. I'm sorry, but if I have to work a normal job, its not gonna be some bullshit $6.00/hr thing with fucking 16 year olds.

Phew. I'm just starting to get pissed. I understand things take time and blah blah blah, but come on...

On a side note, I'm really excited to see Drew and Faultlines this weekend. I need a good hot rock show.

Working for the man every night and day

I heard back about a position, so I might have to go to Rockford for an interview tomorrow. I'm kinda unsure about it, it's full-time, $9.00/hr (a dollar less than I had asked), and its possibly long-term temporary, which kinda sucks cause it would mean I'd never get benefits through the company, but I might be able to get them through the staffing agency... So we'll find out more later... If I get it, I'll probably have to rent a U-Haul the weekend of October 2, so if anyone wants to help me move, since its so much fun, feel free... There will probably be donuts, lunch, and maybe dinner included if you do! Yay.
Anyways, besides that, not much news. Apparently no one else is interested in the blog, so I'll probably just have to scold everyone on GoodGame, and then tell them about it... People need to know every little detail of my life... Not really, really.
Hmm... I don't know what else to write about for now. Sorry I'm one of those boring bloggers. Suck it up, ho.

Last stop for a resolution

Well, nothing about a job yet... It's such a pain in the ass, cause everything now is hinging on me finding a job. It hasn't been that long so I'm trying to not get too upset, but it would be nice to get something lined up. Sarah and I looked at apartments Monday, just drove by and got some numbers... We're thinking the Spring Creek/Mulford area cause she's gonna be working at the U.S. Bank at Spring Creek and Perryville and eventually going to school at Rock Valley, and she doesn't have a car or liscense yet, so we gotta stay close... We'll see what happens... Right now I just have to find something so I can know how much we can spend on rent.

On a complete side note, when we were at Kryptonite watching The Wandering Sons on Saturday, Pantera showed up. Actually I guess it was there side project, but there, right behind me, was Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, it was pretty crazy.

Well that's about it, theres not much to write, seeing as all I've been doing is watching t.v., applying for jobs online, and looking for apartments online. So I've got that going for me.

I'm tired, so tired, I'm tired of having...

Well maybe not... anyways, sorry for the lack of posts. I was in Rockford all weekend and busy. But I did have two interviews, so hopefully I'll find out about them soon... I'm starting to think I'm one of the only people from Rockford who left it and still like it... I'm mean there are some things that are annoying, but those are people mainly, who aren't always around. But back to the point... So it looks like we'll be down there for good the weekend of the 2nd. Sarah starts at the bank on October 4th, so we'll have to stay with my parents for a bit and then get our own place eventually.

Well, it looks like so far Dan Magers, Mike Howerter, and Marcusandholly have found this blog, so thats cool. Damn I'm tired. It's hard to have two interviews and testing at employment agencies in one day, then driving home, getting stuck in traffic, and finally getting to bed 16.5 hours after you woke up, when you're accustomed to not doing much during the day.... You know, 8 months ago there were days when I wouldn't even be up for 12 hours, and even if I was most of the time was spent watching t.v. Ah well. Well, I'm gonna find some breakfast... I'll be back later, I've got more stuff to talk about, but my neck hurts.

Tain't no sin, to take off your skin, and dance around in your bones...

Well, the first person has shown an interest in finding my blog. Dan Magers.

Favorite Band, Number One Fan, their first record, Come On.

Favorite band's first record.
Favorite Kevin Spacey movie.
Add up the number of letters in your favorite artists first cd and the number of letters in your favorite Kevin Spacey movie, then add up the digits in your answer, then mutiply the number by 9. Add up the digits in that total, then subtract three. My blog is that numbers track on Tom Waits "The Black Rider"

For instance, for me it would be Roman Candle (5 + 6 = 11) and The Usual Suspects (3 + 5 + 8 = 16). 11 + 16 = 27....... 2 + 7 = 9...... 9 - 3 = 6 taintnosin.blogspot.com

I more put that up here so I'd remember everything. And if you're reading this you already went through all this. Or your a lying bastard who just got it off of someone else. But then again, I don't know how high the demand for my blog really is...

I'll step on your neck.

I'm big in Japan, and Rockford.

So how's this for you... If you find my blog, you also find out something interesting. Like I'm moving back to Rockford, with Sarah. It's gonna be fun. I've missed you all.

I'll post more in a little bit, but there has been a dog barking outside for half an hour and I'm sick to shit of it. And I need a cigarette.

Now playing:
Back and forth between "Tain't No Sin" and "Big In Japan" by Tom Waits... In my head
Actually, "Day After Tomorrow" by Tom Waits...

"And I miss old Rockford town, up by the Wisconsin border."
